The ceremony was held at the couples church in Washington, DC, and then their intimate party of 65 close friends and family boarded the Spirit of Washington for a memorable dinner cruise wedding reception on water!
Home-made “Perfect Pear” wine made for the couple’s wedding favors by a family friend. Personalized with date and sentiments, indicating for guests to enjoy after they return home to “…remember the evening with a cheers to Life, Laughter, and Love!”
Carrying on the theme… “A Perfect Pair” fans made comfort on a hot, humid, August day in The District.
Each table decorated with a different design, but glimmering jewels and glowing candles made an impression throughout. The event coordinating team at Emerald Engagements had to work quickly, only able to decorate the cruise space between the ceremony and reception due to lunch cruises occupying the boat earlier in the day.
A stunning work of art from the Hollin Hall Pastry Shop in Alexandria, VA. The 3-tier wedding cake of flawless silver and green layers of fondant resembling draped silk. The bride loved her experience working with Hollin Hall!

The bride’s one-of-a-kind dress was personally designed for her by Joy Houston Custom Design Wedding Couture. The fan collar was removable for the reception, but had a personal style to match her own. Joy Houston’s shop in Old Town Alexandria, VA is charming and beautiful! She has such a tallent for any style and walking in to view such a range of colors in bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and flower girl dresses is just too much fun!
