What is the best piece of advice you filtered from the rest while planning your wedding? December 29, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — emeraldengagements @ 3:16 pm

Whas it a BOOK you read?

Was it to IGNORE your mother in law -to be?

Was it to consider doing a dessert bar instead of a cake or vice versa?

OKAY, I’ll start!

The best advice I received that help me enjoy planning my own wedding more so than I was at the time….was to STOP LISTENING to all the advice and take each suggestion with a grain of salt! It can easily overwhelm you, and attempts to make everyone happy will have your head spinning and leave you wishing you had eloped to Vegas faster than you can lose $100 at Black Jack!

Looking forward to your comment responses  🙂

Feast your eyes on this delicious image – I think my jaw dropped below the equator when I saw it! Don’t be fooled, it is not mini, but actually three tiers the approximate size of an average wedding cake. Add one to your dessert bar, or as a groom’s cake alternative. Yummy!

Pure Elegance in Soft Whites

I love how simple yet purely elegant and sophisticated a soft white color palette can be! It easily lends to a Chic French wedding theme or a Georgian classic design. This stylish decision is likely to be a big choice among brides for late Winter to early Spring weddings before all the bright colors of spring are around us!

The Martins’ request for a warm, golden, winter wedding is likely to be nothing less than romantic, rich, and sultry with this color palette and timeless inspirations. This collection of photos, courtesy of the Style Me Pretty Circle gallery, provides great visuals to demonstrate the inspiration!

The ballroom at The Fairfax at Embassy Row with it’s stunning Georgian style and gold elaborate ceiling and chandeliers will be the prime sophisticated location for the event.

A few touches of deep red will help this glamorous event ease everyone into the mood for the holidays.

Skip the over-played “disposable camera on every table” and the endless un-usable photos you are stuck paying for, and get a jump drive full of all your guests photos by the end of the night!

Also good thinking – the Candito rents by the week, so you can have it around for your Bridal Shower, Rehersal Dinner, Bachelor/ette Parties (at your own risk ; p ), Send-off Brunch, and all the other memories captured during the festivities of your ENTIRE WEDDING WEEKEND!

At the time of this posting, their website lists the rental price at $450 for the WEEK, with a $50 deposit.. Check it out
